I was reading the post below about long 20' leaders, and I have heard Duane Hada (sp) speak of 20' leaders when fishing for smallmouth.
I have never tried one, but it seems like those long leaders would be difficult to cast with a regular fly rod. What would that gain over a camouflage or clear intermediate sinking line with a flourocarbon leader and tippet?
I use several brands, and they are WF and cast almost as well as a regular fly line, although my Cortland intermediate line often appears to float like a cork.
Any response?
