Pulled into town last night about dark. Got up this morning and did a little work on the boat, trailer, etc. Figure I'll need it before too long!
They turned the water off about 11 a.m. and I made it down to the handicap access about 2:30 p.m. The Fork is still fishing good. If you can stand the crowds.
The numbers (of fish) are not as high but still decent. Caught a nice bow first thing. Most folks seem to be catching some fish.
Who knows how long the water will be "low?" Several areas downstream still in flood stage and predicted to remain so at least through the first of
next week.
The Lord willing plan on being here for a couple of weeks.
Update
Made it to the handicap access about 2:30 today (they shut the water off at noon) only three other folks there. Water was still falling out and the fish were
everywhere. I made myself take the bugger off after ten fish. Got some on the midge, soft hackle, etc. Unfortunately no low water tomorrow according to
prediction.
We have been fishing the confluence the last few days with some success. We are finding new places to wade on 3 units.
