I was guiding yesterday on the higher water and I had some guys who could cast the big stuff. We got a few browns and bows, but nothing of any real size
like you hope for when throwing the big streamers. Then we found this. Almost all of the Pickerel I have seen out of the Little Red have been small. I have
seen one that was longer than this one, but I don't think it was heavier. I have caught a lot of Pickerel up in New England and they are all much longer
and thinner. When I saw this one coming up out of the depths I thought it was a largemouth bass at first because of the green color and the shape, but then I
saw that mouth.
Has anybody else seen one this short and stumpy lookin?
