I asked JW for permission to post this. This is just a blurb from an e-mail Al Crise had passed around..
Just found out it is Cancer Mass on my Esophagus. They call it
Ademocarcinoma.
I will know more next week or so after specialist in Ft Worth has a look. Just keep me an Nola in
your prayers.

Have gotten to know Al C. over the years at the sowbug. Nice guy and always very giving with instructional help and encouragement for new tyers and
fly-fisherman. Great with kids! Hang in there Al.

Thanks for the kind words and prayers
I am lucky enough to have great friends, strong family and good doctors. At this time it is just a waiting game till mid July when they decide just what and where to do the cutting. Then the followup will depend on how much they can get. Other that weak and tire easily I am doing well. I did drop 35 pounds that I needed to lose anyway.. Thanks for the prayers. ol Al

Al,
Thoughts and prayers from here for sure. As a point of encouragement, I have a friend who had the same thing diagnosed in 1994. After surgery and treatments, he has been cancer free ever since and enjoys a full life. I know that will be your story as well. God bless...

Same here. One of my best friends had the same three years ago. After surgery and chemo he is back 100 %
