I tnink it has been out for a year and the only fiberglass is a 6 ft 9 in 5 wt as all the rest are graphite in the finesse series. I just the 6 ft 9 in one wt.
and boy can you roll cast with it in tight places.

It's a limited edition 6'9" 5/6WT 2 piece and it is a ball to use. There may be some more glass rods in the future I was told but for now it's
just the 5/6WT.
Mike I just did some digging and found an old e-mail I got from Rick Pope from TFO about the glass rod. TFO used a "special unidirectional lay-up" rather than a traditional weave of glass filaments. He said that gives a lighter blank for a given amount of power. If they do produce more glass I wouldn't mind a 4WT of maybe 7'9" .

they are a fun little rod. will throw 5-7 wt/ lines with ease. i prefer mine with a 6wt. my local fly shop tried to order some and were told they are no
longer making them. if you see one, you may want to snap it up. there is one for sale on fly anglers online if you're interested.

I was told by the local area rep. that they had a very limited amount of stock on hand in total, and that they had to use the glass or it was going to go bad -
so they wrapped up what they had and it is to be considered a limited edition rod (this 1st batch, anyways).
He said they have had an overwhelming demand for new sizes and styles.. so if they can get the same glass again, they will make more. He did hay he thought it was E glass. I would bet so.. S glass blanks arent made as much anymore ($). I am going to Roaring River today to cast Tim's. And thanks for the heads up dpenrod, I will inquire about it right now! cheers, Brian

Howdy Gang
A few weeks ago I was at a show, They had the Full TFO line of rods. The newest one was a proto type that is to be a "Kids Rod" I LIKED this rod. Red with a Red reelseat. What I liked about is was the CASTING, They will be 2 pc. 7-ft 4/5 and 8-ft 5/6 I think. It would cast with just one rod length or 40 ft of line out of the tip. This might be my next small stream rod. Tough and easy to cast. I can see me crawling through the brush with this Bug Launcher at $80.00 rod much more that my Harry Boyd cane. ol Al
