I met Zach a few years ago while I was President of the Northeast Oklahoma Flyfishers. We were having our annual "One Fly" tournament and I was
watching this kid cast. I leaned over and told some of the fellow members to watch. Zach was roll casting 60 feet, and looked like a pro. After the event, I
approached Zach and begain talking to him. We quickly hit it off, and over the next few years, Zach matured into a great young man. Zach would call me every
now and agian and ask a fly tying question, or some advise on fishing. I always knew Zach would do well, he listened to everyone, and took every peice of
advise to heart. I am proud to say that Zach has became a great fly tier as well, and a great young man as well. Great job Zach, I know I am very proud of
you, and I know how hard you have worked at this.

Dan, what has taken place if anything to raise funds for him. This is one big issue, if not the major one for these kids. Unfortunaltry the FF industry doe's not general support the FF competiton scene, neither do the FF editorials, you may get some product, but hard cash is hard to come by, and that is what the kids need. Davy, other than the fund raising efforts listed in the article, I am not aware of any. I am sure he could use all of the help he can get.
