The seminars are free, most of the novice workshops are also free, and the remaining workshops are of nominal fee... in fact, about 1/4 the price you'd pay for a commercial class. (You regulars at Southern should begin to see a pattern by now).
There's the Crawfish Boil on Friday night, the Cajun Feast Banquet on Saturday night, and fishing right on the premises for speckled trout and redfish.
For registration and information, including complete list of activities by date/time, go to www.gulfcoastfff.org and click on "Conclave", or view the event flier at: http://www.gulfcoastfff.org/expo09/GCC_2009_Expo_Flier.pdf
This is a great event sponsored by a great group and you're invited!! I know that if you come, you'll learn a bunch and have a wonderful time…
Oh, yeah, bring the kids because there will be Youth Activities including: fly tying, casting, and programs - all free of charge!
So, how much is the admission…just $10.00!!!
When you arrive you'll see a whole bunch of friendly faces… your old friends, after all most of the tyers and casting folks are regulars at SOC Conclave! Now for years, you've fished and partied in north Arkansas with a lot of this very same crowd... only we always did the traveling - the highways run both ways and the distances are the same!
So, how about coming down here and letting us show you how we put on the party? We'll start ya' off with beer and Hot Boiled Crawfish… We'll even show ya' how to "suck the heads!"
If you need the help, we'll teach ya' how to fish for reds and specks and direct ya' to nearby waters to do just that… Heck, we've caught them across the street, right out in front of the Civic Center! If ya' bring a kayak or small boat, we'll direct ya' to nearby waters.
Hope to see ya' down here!
