There is an application on the Reel Recovery Website and a doctors release form that needs to be filled out.

This is a form setup on the website. If they need a paper form, there is a link to the right of the website form that is labeled "printable form". Both of these go into the Organization headquaters and are reviewed by people there. I am pretty sure they have doctors on the board who are experienced with cancer and the troubles associated, so its not just anyone looking them over. Then from there, I am pretty sure they are contacted by the Reel Recovery people and further steps are taken.

The costs are all inclusive except for transportation to and from the event. Meaning, from their house to the Lodge. Transportation during the event is taken care of. Rods, reels, vests, flies, tippet, food, etc is paid in full. Basically they just show up with enough clothes for the weekend. If transportation to the Lodge and home is an issue, we might be able to work something out to help.
The neat deal about the vests being provided is, every participant signs the vest, so by the end of the season, the vest has been worn by numerous people. Think of it as passing the good karma from one event to the next.

Reel Aid is two weeks out guys. If there are friends, family, business contacts, etc....lets get some communitcation going and tell them about the concert. There are some killer items up for silent auction, not to mention the bands, the Celebration Wall, and all the great people who will be in attendence. All it takes is a phone call or short email with the website and great organizations it is supporting. Also, if you have extra time, cold calling or emailing cancer clinics, support groups, physicians, etc is a great idea. I have talked to a few business's today and that were thrilled to learn about Reel Aid and even more so to learn about Casting for Recovery, Reel Recovery, and Project Healing Waters. It only takes a few minuntes out of your day. Lets make one final push to make this event a huge success.
