I fished above the lake and below the dams on Saturday. I was worried about how the recent trail construction affected the waters. The gravel ahd changed
around quite a bit and lost some habitat. Nice deep run from the South side of the wakling bridge running south along the west side of the creek. There were a
few smallies held up in the DEEPEST portions. Wind really picked up, so I headed below the dam. Not a ton of luck. Water is still pretty cold for much
movement. Dropped a crawdad pattern along the bottom and got a few very slow hits, but nothing hooked up. Talked to quite a few people around fishing......most
were mentioning catching a smallmouth and cooking it. I hope people realize the slow growth rate of these fish. Anywho, I had a good time getting out and cant
wait for warmer weather.

That's exactly where I am fishing. Started at the convergence of Little Sugar and the other stream and worked my way past the foot bridge and around the
bend. Then I went below the dams. I hope the new construction didnt affect spawning in that area. The ADEQ measures werent as good as I liked them during
construction of the new trail. I let the POA know, but not being a resident didnt get my comments far. Got to busy to pull the engineering card. Oh well.
When are we going to get you out of the house to fish?? ;) www.jtcrappieguidear.com www.arkansasfishingadventures.com

Zach, not sure if the POA would care--I think that is a city of Bentonville project. The Lake is definitely in Bentonville city limits now.

Zac. The problem is not the house, it's the office. We'll pull it off one of these days though. Let the temps come up some. What flies are you using?
Looks like another possible source for the dirty water may be around the dog park.
