Did the cleanup posted in the conservation section and got to eyeball alot of the water. Baitfish were huge and abundant. Water was very clear with lots of added structure from the ice storm. A few new deep pools and great runs. The Elk looked prime for smallies later this year. Even the outfitter owners I was with were talking about how good the water looked. I am definately going to be spending some time on the Elk this year.
