This is a pre-spawn trip on Lake Kinkaid in Southern Illinois.
Top - my buddy Mike's 48th birthday. I took him on a guided trip and he lands this 48" female very early, probably on his 10th cast with his brand new zebco 808! While he lives on a lake, he hasn't fished too much and never evolved beyond a push button. Sick... Bottom - the Guide Scott Donovan, nailed this 46 at dusk. This fish did not want to be netted, but on the fourth attempt we got her just as the crank bait fell into pieces! No fish were taken on fly. |
