My lovely bride and I are planning a trip to the Mayan Riviera sometime in May or June. This will be a family trip but I would like to take a day to do some
fly fishing for Bonefish or Permit. Anyone familiar with any charters there? Cindy wants to "deep sea fish" as well. We may end up a day doing
that and I'd like to do some flats fishing.
Any info appreciated.

Is Mexico ever "safe?" The trouble down there has been mostly confined to the northern border towns and Mexico City. A coworker is leaving Friday for
a week down there. If he doesn't make it back, I may reconsider my trip. Otherwise, I don't see any problems in the Yukatan penninsula.

I got back from mexico a couple of weeks ago. We went to Puerta Vallarta and had a great time. I was not able to find place to do any flyfishing but there
were plenty of charters. If you havent went yet i would check on better deals. When we went (middle May) it was like a ghost town. We talked to some people
and they called their resort and told them they werent coming if they couldnt get a reduced rate and the hotel gave them 30% off their stay!!!! Swine flu has
been awesome when traveling to mexico, prices are down and you have your pick of prices on most everything! Good luck and enjoy the vacation
