Pat and I part way up the hill over looking the stream. Never will I or Pat forget this place. Tim worked well with us and had the patience of a saint when it came to working with us and our learning curve. Still another day on our own on the Wyoming fishing license. A couple of days in Montana, and fishing in Yellowstone if you all want more? Marty

Another brook. What they lacked in size was made up in there attack on the fly and there glory of color, splended! I might add this was our 31st weading annaversy together. Can't get any better than that. Three hours there, back to the highway, down 296 to 212 and back to the Clark's fork for even more brook and rainbows. Set up the camper for the night after fishing. Mosquito ville heaven. Cool but the window screens were covered and black with the mini beasts. Fine as long as we were inside but go out for any reason (restroom breaks were real killers) no potty in the camper or campground. So skeeter bites were our anniversary present. Marty

Big Creek, This was a fast big rock fast sloped creek. Off I go for about a quarter mile walk upstream to fish. Low and behold I had learned something. Cutts, three to the net, four lost. Six small bows and I can't figure out how but there was this one whitefish with there little pea sized mouth thtt managed to inhale in a size eight hopper. I suppose they have the same suction as a bluegill? The cutts matched close to size to the ones caught one our trip with the guide in Wyoming. No camera for photos sorry. We have only one and Pat had it. She got to see a bear at this spot last year and said she had to have it in case! hahaah Most places you could stand in the middle and touch each side of the creek bank. Two hours of this and back to the Yellowstone, up to Gardner for a bison burger and to regroup. We then bridge hopped fishing back to the KOA. I caught several more bows and a couple of cutts doing this. This area gets pounded pretty hard and most of the fish had sore mouths where they had been caught before. Another nights sleep and back to the park for more fishing action, Marty

Some of the flies I tied for this years retreat and I am so sick of pink and purple When you are home and so far from trout waters you have to do what you have to do and flyfish for koi. Marty
