Though it threatened to rain all day, it never did. The temperature was near perfect and the wind was for the most part light and variable. The sky was very overcast. I took a couple of clients into Rim Shoals and we did very well. It was the first time fly fishing for one of them and he caught over twenty. The other client was more seasoned and he landed over thirty five. The hot fly early on was a caddis pupa. Later in the day the partridge and green was the big producer. The caddis came off in the afternoon but it was so overcast we had trouble seeing them and were unable to effectively fish dries. We fished late.
