I took the time yesterday to look at what had happened to this wonderful river, words cannot describe what l saw. I have never seen such devastation on a river such as this.
We can only hope that time will allow for this wonderful trout stream to recover, which in time it will. Rivers can survive from the worst levels of pollution. and natural floods. The river Thames in London was once the most polluted disease ridden river in the world. 1 mill humans and industry were responsible for that. Now it has runs of Atlantic Salmon, great brown trout fishing and the home of some 50 species of fish, not to mention the enormous food sources and other species of wild life that rely on this river.
