Hey there, a fellow BS FFW. I received my degree from the University of MO-Columbia, Fisheries Management in 1993. Seemed pretty difficult to get on full-time here in Missouri in the 90s so now I'm an environmental consultant, focusing on haz waste, air emissions, and other various EPA/MDNR/OSHA compliance issues. Did you have any luck getting a forestry job? Those are few and far in between here in MO as well. Flyfishing is a ball, but it does take patience but the payoff is nice, catching a trout on a buggy looking thing you may have actually tied rather than corn or marshmellows is exciting!!

As far as books are concerned, my focus was more focused on fisheries capture and identification so I can highly recommend the MO publication 'Fishes of Missouri' by William Pflieger, tells a lot about MO fish.
