l know a number of guides who will not run Wildcat on low water and a good few other palces. Some years back as l was going down there was a boat pulled over, the owner asks me if l had a spare prop, which l do, l always carry one. There was nothing left of his. His truck was at the Wildcat ramp, now that would have been a torture for the 3 of them to pull the boat up stream, only alternative was to float away downstream either to Hursts or Cotter, then hitch a ride to get the truck.
By the way l did not let him have my prop, l told him l would if he gave me the 100 bucks for it, which he did not have. Odds are that one would have got the same treatment.
Jimmy probably has a few stories also.

I have seen the same thing at Buffalo shoals, which likewise is not a easy shoal to get through on low water, its way longer than Wildcat.
