Davy, these stripers were removed from the Beaver tailwater but not by using trout as bait. We opened some stomachs and saw the rainbows that had been eaten by these fish. Striper predation is an ongoing problem. The G/F used to come regularly and shock them and return them to Beaver Lake, but I don't know if they are still doing so. They populate the river from right up against the dam all the way down past Houseman, and maybe farther downriver.
They're spooky however, and it's easier to catch them during generation. The former trophy area was where many large ones were sighted.
