So well deserved. Here's a favorite personal story about Tony. A couple of years ago at Sowbug, I saw Tony tying a beautiful little dry on a size 16 hook. His comment was that the fly could be tied much smaller if the situation required. I said I didn't tie anything smaller than an 18 because I couldn't see what I was doing.

Tony said, "Nonsense," then pulled out a 22, scuffed around in his materials, and tied the same beautiful fly in less than 2 minutes. Given the level of Tony's eyesight, what I learned was that my problem is "operator error," not faulty vision.
