Great topic guys, I have a short question.  When throwing large heavy streamers, what line is everyone using.  I have been using the SA Streamer Express but have found that it is a nightmare.  It shoots the fly a mile when it works, however I have had serious problems with the running line coiling and tangling beyond belief.  I stretch it to almost the breaking point and it still coils.   Today I had a large fish on using a circus peanut and it took line like a truck.  There was a knotted coil in the running line and when it hit a guide near the tip of the rod it pulled the top section of the rod off, which was recovered.  Anyone using any other lines for the big heavy streamers?

SA Wet Tip Express (25foot sink tip). Tips: 1) Don't shoot the line a country mile. I work folks close to the target area. Better line management and less headaches. 2) If you have shoot a lot of line, "throw" the line straight down off to the side of your feet when you strip. This requires you to learn not to move your feet around. This helps in the coiling and uncoiling of the line. 3) Before and after every streamer session on the river, pull the line off the reel and respool with consistent tension and allowing the line to unfurl through your fingers before it hits the spool. This will help, but shooting line on sinktips will always have this problem. How you handle compounds the problem or not. Over stretching the line might actually make it worse.
