Got up and decided because I only had a few hours to fish before heading home, I would fish the Dam area. I was still tired after walking all day Tues. Got to the dam and found only 2 guys. Neither was in my favorite spot. Accross the river from the Dry Creek in the first fast run. Tied on my heaviest bead head woolie ( Black ) with zebra midge trailing ( Brown and Black). Even though the weather was a little cold, the fishing was hot. What a run. Could have stood there all day and caught fish but decided to share. Moved over to the mouth of Dry Creek and continued to catch quality fish. Then it happened. About 10 they blow the horn. I stood in the river till it started to rise. Fast. Got out waiting for the water to really start rocking and rolling, but I guess they only ran 1 generater. Still very wadable. Rock islands were 1 or 2 feet deep. Continued to catch fish in the very spot I was standing early. 3 hours of heaven and time to drive home. ( made it in 5 hours). BIG fish broke me off in the deep run just below the creek. Set my hook, and tried to pull it out of the fast water.  Turned my rod sideways and pulled hard up river. The monster came  to surface and thrashed about reminding me of a Large Guy doing a cannonball. KABOOM.  Walter. Shammoo.....whatever you want to call it. With 5X all I could do was laugh. Can't wait till my next great adventure.
