I have been told that it might be dacron, since it, like silk, has almost no stretch. Polypropolene would deteriorate very rapidly with repeated exposure to the UV in sunlight. Dacon, on the other hand, is bascially impervious to UV deterioration. But apparently, Terenzio keeps the info to himself. I do know that the line casts better than any plastic flyline I have ever owned, and it's amazing how well it casts into the wind. The Phoenix lines are superb but a lot more expensive; I really like the way Terenzio weaves the loops into each end of his flylines and into his leaders; it makes them so easy to use.
