Flifysh,

From a fishing perspective, the best place to stay is John F. Kennedy park just below the Greers Ferry dam. It's on the river and has good camp facilities. The best RV pads are in the D section at the far end of the campground. But I don't think they have any hookups in the winter. They only have water hookups at a few sites in the D section during the summer. This is a Corp of Engineers campground. I don't think they have long term rentals, but you might be able to work out a deal with the attendant in the winter. You might have to change sites once a week to stay there. You would have to move your rig anyway to go to the dump station.

If you want full hookups, here's a couple leads to followup on:

Wagon Circle campground is at the mid river point of the trout section of the Little Red. They look full most of the time. We have a large number of gas drilling folks living in campers around here. Here's a link to their web site: http://www.wagoncirclerv.com/

Give the folks at the Little Red Fly Shop a call and ask about long term camping on the upper river. Here's their site: http://www.littleredflyshop.com/

Bring the pontoon. You'll be glad you did.
