I was there during Conclave and the stream and fish seemed plenty healthy. I'm sure DRC is much healthier than the Norfork itself, especially around the outlets.
I agree with the SJW being a good fly for DRC. If you can find some small plastic beads in a pink or orange color to simulate eggs and affix one a few inches up from the SJW - hold in place with a toothpick - that rig worked well last year with some kids I was guiding. Tie some pink, red, tan, brown, and olive as they might get finicky as to color.
Chuckinra's son had a fly that was effective, but not sure what it was... Chuck? Travis?
