The odds are that lamprey in the lakes, and l do not know if we are talking about both BS and NF are there because of the original catchment zone before the dams were built.
As l can see no way that they could get there from below the dams as such.

Elvers can do that, they can climb a dam wall if it has some water run down from the lake above.
Not is is is dry concreat, as long as there is a wet wall, they can do it.
That is a amazing site to see 1000s of 2ins eels do that.

I have not heard my self of any fish caught in the lakes with a lamprey attached.
As they would have to find a host to survive, and it would be a fish.

As a matter of interest, any of you guys seen them at Beaver or Tany.
