OK guys and girls. Here is a little info for you to chew on. It looks to me like Arkansas wants to work on this problem and the AG of Oklahoma dosn't want anyone from Oklahoma involved.

Now Arkansas is reducing the phosphorus levels in the streams, but the levels are higher in Oklahoma. How can this be? Real simple. There is an old lake bed, on the Oklahoma side of the line. In years past, phosphorus settled in there. Now it is working its way out. Don't believe me. Here is the link.

Here are graphs showing the levels over the years. You'll notice that the Oklahoma measurements are going up past the Arkansas levels. There are also pictures and maps showing the area.

As far as Fayetteville's sewage treatment and Tysons largest plant dumping into the White. ALL of that is upstream from Beaver Lake. Fayetteville's system splits 2 ways. Part goes to Oklahoma, and part goes to the White.

Beaver tailwaters are lacking in nutrients, but they haven't always been. We used to have lots of little bugs and things there. What changed? According to Darrell Bowman, it changed when Rogers diverted their effluient to the west.
Yep, thats what he said at the meetings for the BTW.

It ain't me saying it. These are just facts.

And by the way. NONE of the watershed in Washington county goes to the Buffalo, unless it can flow uphill. Water from the South East of Fayetteville flows North West toward Fayetteville. Its the White River.

I respect everyone's opinion, but we need to deal in facts. The Overlook mess is visible to God and all the world. The situation involving Oklahoma has more politicians involved in it to cloudy the water, more were sueing to get into it, and it's an election year. Go figure.

And last but not least, this little tid bit about sedimentation.
