Are others getting these? Also, I recently switched to McAfee and it is issuing security warnings on a regular basis when I am on line here. Are others getting this also?
Thanks
Dave

I've noticed recently that there are a slew of ads on this site. I assume some are intentional but a lot appear to be just pop-ups advertising some
"pretty non-fishing" items.
Are others getting these? Also, I recently switched to McAfee and it is issuing security warnings on a regular basis when I am on line here. Are others getting this also? Thanks Dave |

At home I have AdBlock on my browser, so I never see them there. At work we dont have this and I have seen stuff pop up in peoples posts. I have never had a
full popup though.

Never experienced any type of ads or pop ups on the site. Your problem with the ads is probably from your individual browser, what's your cookies setting?
Might be something to check out, I am by no means a technical guru~~~

I'm getting them so I contacted John. He was supposed to get in touch with Yuku but that was before all the ice hit.

Dave,
Are you running IE? Firefox? What browser? Have you got your pop-up blocker on? In IE, go to your "popup blocker" and "internet settings" (under the "tools" menu) and check those settings. AVG has good free antivirus along with spyware and mallware that will stop most anything like that. I use Avast!, AVG, and NOD... Also, what OS are you running? Windows XP, Vista, or other? BTW... McAfee is a good choice. I'm too cheap to pay for the upgrades, tho...

Pop-ups | #5 | ||
|
I'm using windows XP with IE browser and have the pop-up blocker on but still get them. This appears to be the only site that I get them on. The pop-ups
don't really bother me that much but occasionaly McAfee will bring up a message saying they constitute a security threat. I use ATT for my DSL and they
just recently changed to McAfee for their spyware and virus protection and that is when the warnings started coming up.

We PAY so that we don't get pop-ups here. I sent a notice to Yuku. I don't know what the problem is. I'm not getting them but if you guys keep
experiencing them please let me know. Stuff like this really gets my knickers in a twist.

I have enjoyed them. Just since last week I lost 20 lbs, my hair has grown back, got some new shoes, a couple of college degrees and even a date, that went
very well thanks to some little blue pills that I got from one of the ads.
Thanx JW! (Lashanda says thanks, too!)

I wonder why I'm not getting them?
I've made two notices to Yuku and so far no response. I am really sorry guys. I'm on it. Hopefully they will get this resolved ASAP. |

I'm only getting them when I'm not logged in. As soon as I log out and the forum resets that's when I get the pop-ups.

Same here... Of course, I don't sign out. But I was on a different computer yesterday and did get some pop-ups before I logged in. I'm thinking Yuku
only protects you from pop-ups if you are logged in.

Whoa! You are right. When you log on, the ads go away.

Still we "pay" for pop up free space.
If some of the rest of you would complain to Yuku it might help? |

I experienced the same thing. As soon as I log in the "pop ups" disappear.
