			<description><![CDATA[ I rarely have my students look at their backcasts, unless I really want them to see it so that they can change it. The other time I have them look is if they
are making a presentation on the backcast.

I often look at my backcast when I&#39;m making an extra long cast on the forward cast. Otherwise, I don&#39;t look too much.
<br>

I, of course, look at it alomst all the time when I&#39;m making a presentation cast on the backcast.

			<description><![CDATA[ Jim,  Just finished that book a few weeks ago.  Very well written and I enjoyed his &quot;modular&quot; thing.  Can really help building a difficult cast in
some situations or in just thinking things through.  Especially his mending section.  As a learning tool I see it helping certain types, some probably not all
, but we all learn differently for sure.

On a long cast I&#39;m going to watch no matter what.  If you <u>are</u> watching you will very quickly <u>recognize</u> that curve... ]]></description>

Sums up this thread nicely in four short paragraphs with a critical point we haven&#39;t touched upon here.

If the caster turns to look as the cast is being made it often results in a twist in the torso and moves the rod out of plane.  After the backcast is complete,

			<description><![CDATA[ Usual time is when people are typically active, like from 07:00 to 19:00. That&#39;s the biological clock that most people live by. So, either get up 3 or 4
hours earlier then them, or stay asleep 6 hours later and start out in the afternoon behind everyone else -- but fish all night. I typically fish in the summer
from 9:00 at night until 04:00 or 05:00 when the early birds start waking up. Believe me, it works... You have the most aggressive/willing fish to play with,
and all the space you... ]]></description>
